Undefeated featherweight prospect 13th ranked Movsar Evloev reported to be taking on 9th ranked featherweight Dan Ige on June 4th UFC card.
9th ranked Ige has lost two straight against Chan Sung Jung and Josh Emmett by unanimous decision.
The Hawaiian fighter is without a win since his one-punch knockout over Gavin Tucker back in March 2022.
Now Ige is slated to take one of the biggest prospects at 145lbs.
13th ranked Evloev was scheduled to face Illa Topuria back at UFC 270 but was forced to withdraw over a failed covid test.
Now he ended up with a far more favourable matchup.
He’s fighting up the rankings not down.
Fighting Ige who’s on a losing streak instead of an undefeated prospect in Topuria.
Evloev is currently 5-0 in the UFC with a win over Hakeem Dawodu in his last fight back at UFC 263.
This is a great fight for Evloev to break into the top 10 a win here will also set him up for the main event fight as well.
