ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported that Glover Teixeira will be defending his light heavyweight belt for the first time against Jiri Prochazka (28-3-1) at UFC 274 on May 7th.
The card is rumoured to be held in Rio de Janeiro making it the first PPV card held not in the USA or Abu Dhabi in over two years.

The challenger Prochazka burst on the UFC sign with two stunning knockouts over Volkan Oezdemir in his debut and one of 2021 best knockouts over Dominick Reyes.
Before fighting in the UFC, he fought in RIZIN where he had 12 fights and all his wins were by knockout.
The champion Glover Teixeira (33-7) is known for taking unbelievable amounts of damage in fights and still managing to come out with the victory seen best in his fights with Karl Roberson and Thiago Santos.
No one in the 205lb division can deal with the grappling of Teixeira his top control is too strong.
In his past three fights, he was able to get to the back and either submit or finish with ground and pound.
Let’s hope he puts on another legendary performance in front of his countryman.
