Fight of the night: Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo.

Peformance of the night: Said Nurgomedov and Vanessa Demopoulos.

UFC 270 certainly had some suprises.

I don’t think anyone expect Francis to lose the first two rounds on the feet.

Just to spend the remaining 15 minutes out grappling Ciryl.

It wasn’t very technical or fun to watch.

But it was extremely effective in keeping Ciryl grounded and making him unable to score any points.

In the fight of the night Figgy was able to win through landing the harder the strikes.

I found the fight very hard to score other than round 3 which i gave to Figueiredo.

Dropping Moreno twice with some extremely hard strikes.

Moreno was far more active through out the fight pushing the pace most of the fight.

But he just didn’t have the power to effect Fiegueredo’s game.

Not landing anything significant enough to seem fight changing.

The rest of the card showcased the talent of a lot of fighter.

Said Nurmagomedov showed he’s ready for top 15 talent.

His extremely dynamic kicking game and rapid offensive.

Forced Stamann to take a poor double leg shot leading to the submission.

The young Michael Morales showed he’s belongs in the UFC taking out tough vet Trevin Giles.

Showing that he’s fast and has a lot of power.

Most impressive was Victor Henry.

The 34 year old came in on his debut and took out Raoni Barcelos just by completely out working him.

Barcelos is close to the stack top 15 all bantamweight, and Henry just made Barcelos fight at his pace and range.

He’s earn a top 15 opponant with that performance.

At 34 years he needs to get a move on, and gets some more wins put together.
