Eddie Bravo, BJJ black belt and founder of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, has a not-so-secret weapon when it comes to improving as a fighter and a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner – it’s called video.
“That’s how most of the moves or transitions that I get good at – they come up like, on their own, and then the third time I go, I got it! And then I video tape it, I video tape myself doing it and I’m like, sh#t, I didn’t even know I was doing that! Your body will make sh#t up for you. Everybody, not just me, it’s everybody. You just got to learn how to capture it.”

When you train, you are only actually seeing about 20% of what goes on around you.
Watching yourself train allows you to see 100% of what’s going on.
